Tyne Stecklein (born August 11, 1988) is an American dancer and actress. Although she has had many dancing roles in films she became well known as a dancer in Michael Jackson's, later cancelled due to his death, tour This Is It. Most recently, she made her acting debut in the movie musical Burlesque, starring Christina Aguilera and Cher. She played Christina's fellow dancer, Jessie.

Early life

Tyne was born in Denver, Colorado, USA. From the early age of three-years-old Tyne began dancing at Miller's Dance Studio, which eventually led her to being able to train with professionals. With this training she began learning many different styles of dance. At the age of fourteen Tyne became a member of the LADF Dance Ensemble and was featured in the Edge Performing Arts Summer Showcase. Eventually, this led her to be able to perform on the Disney Magic Cruise Ship at the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Stecklein was also a competitive dancer for nine years for Tour de Force.(Now known as Miller's Dance Force)

At the age of seventeen she became an assistant teacher for L.A. Dance magic Conventions for the national touring season. Shortly thereafter, she became an apprentice member of Evolution Dance Company.

Career

Tyne moved to L.A. to pursue a career as a professional dancer after graduating from High School. Within a year of moving there she was picked to be a dancer for the High School Musical tour. Not long after that she became a dancer in the movies: High School Musical 2, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Step Brothers.[1]

In 2009 Tyne was selected to be a dancer for Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour. Exactly four days before the tour was to begin, Michael Jackson died. On October 28, 2009 the This Is It concert DVD was released marking Tyne's first big screen debut as one of Michael Jackson's two female dancers.

Acting

On November 24, 2010, Tyne made her acting debut in the movie musical Burlesque, alongside: Christina Aguilera, Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristin Bell, and another professional dancer, Julianne Hough. She played Jessie, a Burlesque dancer in Tess' (Cher) "Burlesque Lounge". The film was released to positive to mixed reviews and debuted at third place in the box office and the fourth highest grossing musical film opening in history.[2] In early 2011, Tyne played the role of Victoria in the Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman romantic comedy No Strings Attached.
